Baden-Powell after dinner speech



109 Asst. Scoutmaster James Gooden portrays Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting in the UK and generally considered to be the creator of the World Scouting movement, at the Spanish Trails District Dinner. Baden-Powell gained national attention in the Boer War in South Africa for his defense of Mafeking, rising to the rank of Lt. General in the British Army. He was also know as BP and Chief Scout of the World. Author of Scouting's first Handbook, Scouting For Boys, Baden-Powell left a rich legacy of service to boys thru the World Wide Scouting movement. BP was a great fan of JM Berry's Peter Pan. James Gooden is also a professional actor and playwright. See it all at:
