Cub Scout Pack 279 is pleased to announce a new scouting program developed specifically for kindergarten-aged boys to introduce them to the exciting world of scouting. Beginning in September 2016, boys in Kindergarten may now join Pack 279 as “Lions”.

Lions is a family-oriented program where a boy and his parent or caring adult partner will join scouting together. The Lions and their adult partners will meet together in a group called a “den”. The Lions will meet approximately twice per month for den meetings and outings to make fun memories together. The Lion program will encourage boys to learn and explore through hands-on, high-energy activities. Most meetings will last approximately 45 minutes.

We will be holding a parent information night on September 1, and our first Pack meeting is on September 15, both at St. James Presbyterian Church on Orr’s Bridge Road, at 7pm.  You are welcome to come and check us out, but if you cannot make these meetings, no worries!  Just contact us any time for more information.
